POT PRINCE $3,500 POORER
Self-proclaimed Prince of Pot Marc Emery (profiled in these pages a
few months back) was released from a Saskatchewan prison last Thursday
on $3,500 bail, despite Crown attempts to have him jailed for two
months until trial. Emery was charged last Monday with trafficking
marijuana for passing a joint to a student after making a speech at
the University of Saskatchewan.
Although previously arrested 20 times, last week's incarceration was
the longest yet for the legalized-cannabis-crusader, internationally
known for his Pot-TV website and magazine Cannabis Culture.
