SUPPORT FOR MARIJUANA AT PROTEST
Two people were taken into custody following a marijuana demonstration
on the grounds of Red Deer city hall Tuesday.
The demo, attended by about 100 people, was in in support of the
legalization of cannabis.
The April 20 date was significant because the number 420 is slang for
marijuana.
Inspector Pete Calvert said the same event was held last year so
police were prepared.
