D.A.R.E. APPRECIATED
EDITOR:
On Friday, April 30, the Washington County Sheriff's Department's DARE
Program sponsored a dance at David Crockett High School for all the
Washington County School's fifth-grade students who had successfully
completed the DARE program.
We would like to thank the DARE Officer, Mitzi Miller and our School
Resource Officer, Scott Baines, for the opportunity to be a part of
this event.
I wanted to recognize the fifth-grade students who attended this
event. They were very respectful and well behaved and appeared to have
a good time. Our children are so precious to our community and every
time we have an opportunity to praise and encourage them, we should
not neglect it. They are our future.
Again, we appreciate the hard work and dedication of these fine
officers who are involved in the DARE program. It is a good program
that reaches our children at a time in their lives when good influence
is so important.
