MORE DRUG BUSTS NEEDED
Another crack house was raided and arrests were made in Rycroft last
week.
Spirit River RCMP and the drug squad out of Edmonton were involved in
this raid that ended in drug related charges against a Rycroft and
Grande Prairie man.
The fortified residence had boards covering windows and doors and was
an obvious drug den.
It's more raids on places like this that are needed.
Unfortunately, the way the justice system works, it's not that simple
to make these arrests and charges.
Everything has to be done by the books so as not to "set up" the
criminals illegally or have any questions raised before, during or
after the raid.
It is a long process, one that requires a lot of patience by the
police and the public.
But it is something that is well worth it and something that must
continue to be done so small communities like Rycroft can get rid of
these drug dens.
They are a blight on the community and invite more undesirables to
move here.
Thanks to the RCMP and drug squad, we are slowly but surely driving
them out.
Hopefully, it'll be something that keeps them out forever.
