11 ARRESTED IN LANGLEY POLICE SWEEP

Langley RCMP have arrested 11 suspects and are in the process of laying at
least 73 charges, in connection with a year-long drug investigation that
took police throughout the Lower Mainland and into the Fraser Valley.

Approximately one year ago, Langley RCMP's drug unit embarked on an
investigation that shut down a significant organized crime cell involved in
the movement and selling of illegal drugs, such as cocaine and
methamphetamine. The crime group is also involved in the stolen property trade.

The investigation concluded when police executed six search warrants
throughout various locations in the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley.

During the searches, police seized drugs, weapons and stolen property
traded for drugs.

Currently police are going over details of all those arrested and
attempting to establish the appropriate charges for each individual arrested.

Police are currently in the process of cataloguing the large amount of
exhibits that were seized after the execution of six different search warrants.

Further details on this investigation are not available at this time,
however Langley RCMP will be holding a media conference next week to
exhibit some of the items seized in the searches.
