CORNWALL MAN POSSESSED $160K WORTH OF POT: TROOPERS
HOGANSBURG - A Cornwall man has been charged with criminal possession
of marijuana following his arrival at White's Landing in Hogansburg
where police allegedly found him to be in possession of $160,000 worth
of hydroponic marijuana, according to New York State Police.
Troopers charged [DELETE], 22 of 112 Emma Ave., Cornwall, Ontario, was
charged with first-degree possession of marijuana Thursday in Hogansburg.
He was captured after a brief foot pursuit after he and two other
unknown subjects were observed unloading several large duffel bags
onto the shore from the boat they were traveling in, according to troopers.
Police said upon inspection of the duffel bags, the contents revealed
approximately 64 pounds of marijuana.
The marijuana had a minimum street value of approximately $160,000,
according to troopers.
The other two co-conspirators managed to evade capture and are still
being sought.
[DELETE] was arraigned in the town of Bombay Court and was remanded to
the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
