ROBINSON'S STORY WASN'T WORTH PRINTING

The Editor,

Re: "To hell and back?" the Now, May 29.

Your paper is free.

We stopped taking the Sun and Province because we thought they both
put out front page stories that where not in touch with the real
issues, only ones designed to sell papers - stories about drugs, movie
stars, etc.

The last paper we paid for talked about Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell
for six or more pages.

I am very disappointed. I didn't pick up your paper to read two or
three pages on Gary Robinson.

Sorry the guy screwed up but he brings nothing to society at this
point in his life, yet you take the time to tell me his plight.

We need someone like this to bring attention to drugs? Come
on.

Drugs are there. Write something to bring control to the problem, not
attention on this sort of person. It circumvents the basic problem.

What about the poor, ignorant and less fortunate young people who get
hooked on the drug?

Is there not something of genuine interest in our community to write
front-page news about except some guy who had it made and gave it away?

There has to be some hard-working people out there who bring positive
things to us.

Your paper will go directly in the trash next time, since I cannot
stop the delivery.

Sorry. Not impressed.
