ALCOHOL GETS OFF LIGHTLY IN WAR AGAINST DRUGS

You can't fight greed. It will win over common sense every time. So why
not hit drug users in the pocket? I have worked construction and white
collar jobs for years and used to smoke pot, but now I can't because they
drug test.

So many reformed pot smokers have become drunks or they chose harder
drugs. I have friends who have switched to cocaine because it is out of
their system in a couple of days and it won't show up on a drug test. For
instance, how about on Friday morning we randomly test our employees for
drugs and alcohol and see how many can pass the test after a night of hard
drinking at one of the many "Thirsty Thursday Events," because it is
illegal to drink and drive.

Why not make it a requirement for companies to also be free from
"drunks on the job," as well as potheads and drug users. That will start to
save lives as well as families.
