LUCENA 'SHABU QUEEN' ARRESTED FOR SELLING SHABU

LUCENA City -- Police arrested on Friday a 47-year-old woman tagged as
"shabu queen" after she was caught red-handed allegedly selling shabu to a
poseur buyer in her house at Better Living Subd., Barangay Isabang here.

Milagros Korrea yielded 50 grams of shabu and various drug paraphernalia
when nabbed by Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligence operatives led by
SPO4 Celso Destajo, said Supt. Edgar Layon, the city police chief.

Nonbailable drug charges have been filed against Korrea who is now detained
at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology District Jail in Pagbilao town.

According to Layon, the drug-bust took place around 11 p.m. shortly after a
police asset tipped off authorities that Korrea would be selling the
illegal stuff to regular customers in her house Friday night.

He said Korrea is included in the city's drug list and has long been under
their tight watch following reports that she has been connected with a drug
syndicate operating in the city and nearby towns.
