DRUGS STILL A PROBLEM, BUT FIGHT CONTINUES
Usually problems that affect society can be traced to a specific group
or source, making it easy to point the finger of blame.
When it comes to the drug epidemic, however, it's not so easy finding
someone to take the blame.
Drugs, particularly methamphetamine, present such a danger in the
community that everyone is affected. No matter what your social
background, your economic standing or your place in the community is,
you are not immune from the far-reaching arms of the drug epidemic.
Law enforcement continues to fight this war one battle at a time by
stepping beyond their typical borders to reach into businesses,
churches and homes for help in the fight.
With each arrest and each meth lab shut down, law enforcement makes a
small dent in a problem too big to be ignored by anyone.
More and more you hear of citizens stepping up to help in this fight.
People are beginning to take notice of and take action against
suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
By doing their part, they become an integral part of the fight. Only
through teamwork can this problem cease to be a problem.
