GIRL, 3 OTHERS NABBED FOR DRUGS
Four persons, including a 17-year-old girl, were nabbed in Bacolod City
recently for possessing sachets of suspected shabu during drug operations
by the Bacolod Police.
Now facing complaints for violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive
Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are a 17-year-old girl from Purok Sigay, Brgy.
2, and Ranyl Sumadia Cadigal, 35, single, of Purok Maanyag 2, Brgy. Alijis,
both in Bacolod City, and Charlou Costanilla Ortega, 28, single, and Jose
Ortega, 27, both of Locsin Street, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The girl, whose name is being withheld by the DAILY STAR, was nabbed by
Senior Insp. Jimmy Fortaleza, commander of the Bacolod Police Precinct 2 at
about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday last week for possessing a plastic sachet of
shabu and P200 in marked money in Brgy. 2.
SPO2 Freddie Natividad of the Bacolod Police Precinct 2 and the Regional
Mobile Group arrested the Ortega brothers during a routine patrol in Purok
Sigay, Brgy. 2 at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, during which, two elongated
sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from them.
Charlou allegedly resisted arrest, police reports added.
Cadigal was also nabbed for possessing an elongated sachet of suspected
shabu during a stakeout operation by Natividad and operatives of the 603rd
and 604th Regional Mobile Group in Purok Sigay, Brgy. 2 at about 8 a.m.
Wednesday last week.
The four suspects are now detained at the Bacolod Police Precinct 2 at 19th
Lacson Street, in the city.
