The biggest problem with politics is the politicians we elect, only to
find, they have no minds of their own and every time those pussies
vote the party line.

Did you want the GST?

Were you impressed by your MP?

Did he object most strenuously:

"This tax is bad for the economy. Folks don't want it, can't you
see?"

Did he say to 'Lyin' Brian; "Stick this where the sun don't shine in
?"

Did your elected politician speak his mind with conviction?

Well Kilgour opened up his mouth and the bastards kicked him
out.

A politician's loyalty does not belong to you and me who through our
taxes, pay his way but to his bleeding party, eh?

So most incumbents toe the line so that next election time the party
will give them the nod and help them keep their cushy job.

But are we going to send them back this spineless bunch of party hacks
so they can sit on their hands till qualified for pension plans?

Could I suggest a better way for you to vote on voting
day?

For 8,000 years of mankind's past, Mother Hemp did
reign

Made us food and cloth and rope and eased our aches and
pains

Fed the birds and nursed the soil, made our paper, made our
oil

But all of that is gone you see, killed by hate and
greed.

Well they like to play monopoly, big business always
had

But hemp was grown by everyone, so they said hemp was
bad

Yeah, Hearst, Dupont and Mellon did their dirty dastard
deed

Said your name was marijuana, and you were a poison
weed.

Racial hatred was a motive, racial hatred, money and
greed

With yellow lying newspapers the public was deceived:

"Oh beware of Reefer Madness for it will destroy your
sons

And drive your daughters wild with lust for blacks and China mons."

So they pulled up all the hemp plants and they cut down all the trees

to fuel their never-ending lust for power and for greed

They ripped the lungs from Mother Earth and brought her to her
knees

Dirtied up the clear blue sky, polluted all the seas.

It's the truth behind the matter folks and it's really sorta sad

Cause the planet dies, before our eyes and it kinda makes me mad.

We tumble towards troubled times, the worst we ever saw

But hemp can save the world you see, so we must change the law.
