ECSTASY SEIZURE

EDGEWATER ,N.J. -- Authorities credit close work between federal and
local law officers for the arrest of five people and seizure of $1.6
million worth of Ecstasy.

Border officers in Champlain, N.Y., made two arrests on Sunday, after
being alerted by the Bergen County Drug Task Force. Information
gleaned there led to the arrest of three men in Edgewater by the task
force, said Michael Gilhooly, a spokesman for U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement.

"This was an excellent example of teamwork and the unified agencies of
the Department of Homeland Security working in cooperation with local
law enforcement," said Peter Smith, special agent in charge of the ICE
office in Buffalo.
