LIVING WITH PAIN

Re "Montel Williams pleads case for medical pot bill," Names & Faces,
July 2: Like Montel Williams, I also suffer from almost constant pain
from multiple sclerosis. There is no pain medication that works for
MS. But marijuana is not the answer.

The goal of MS patients is to live the best quality of life possible.
Being stoned all the time is not a good life. Maybe the pain will be
reduced, (I don't know since I haven't tried it), but having a foggy
head and not being able to think straight is worse than pain.

Williams would serve himself and other MS patients better by using his
resources to help find a cure or helpful medications for MS that
enable us to live pain free and with a clear mind.
