ABSURD LAW
Re: Why the state controls some of our 'freedoms,' July 21.
Byron Taylor-Conboy's letter is chilling for two reasons. He is wrong
about THC (it is actually a therapeutic agent, not a toxin, so
stronger pot is actually safer), but the whole tone of the letter was
to "learn to love your prison state."
Personally, I choose to obey laws that are just. No stealing, no
violence -- these are laws that serve justice. The laws prohibiting
marijuana, however, are superstitious, nonsensical, counterproductive
and beyond absurd.
Mr. Taylor-Conboy can obey Big Brother if he likes and encourage other
to do the same, but I never will, and I encourage everyone to keep
fighting.
