COPS CLUELESS AS USUAL
THE Western Police District remains clueless on the real identities of the
operators of an abandoned drug warehouse in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
In an interview, WPD District Anti-Illegal Drugs head Supt. Marcelino
Pedrozo Jr. said the names and addresses found in the raided shabu warehouse
were proven to be fictitious.
Acting on a tip, Manila police raided an abandoned drug warehouse allegedly
owned by one Eugene Tan at the corner of Jose Abad Santos and Qui-ricada
streets, Sta. Cruz last Saturday.
Seized during the raid were weighing scales, filters, dryers, and
undetermined amount of shabu precursors including sodium hydroxide and
ephedrine.
Meanwhile, Pedrozo urged the judiciary to be stricter in dealing with drug
cases. He lamented that Tan had been arrested in 1998 but was allowed to
post bail.
