DRUG BAN CREATES THE PROBLEM
Re: "Painkillers invade Victoria streets," July 21.
Whenever there is a public outcry about prescription drugs, the
doctors who prescribe them tighten up and don't write as many
prescriptions, which in turn makes the price go up because they are
harder to come by.
Then crime increases to pay for them and the vicious circle of
addiction shows its claws once again. There would be no black market
if drugs were legal.
