HUNT FOR DRUG FIENDS SEETHES

At least 14 most wanted drug manufacturers and traffickers on the
Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force
list remain on the loose and are being hunted by the law.

They are Wang Yang Shi, alias Aaron Wang, Willie Ong, and Siyah; and Henry
Tan Tamayo, alias Eddie Ong and Eddie Tan, who each carries a P1 million
bounty on his head.

Those who carry a P500,000 reward for their arrest are Deng Xiao Li, alias
Shio Teng and Lucy; Ong Kim Tie, alias Alex Ong; Qui Yun Hai, alias
Carlito Co; Jackson Uy, alias Dina; Benito Sze, alias Benito Sy; and Ong
Shin Pin, alias Apin Ong. Ding Cai Hui, Ronald Yao Cruz, Wen Jin Cai, Chua
Lin Yen, Chen Jian Long and Juanito Lee Ty, on the other hand, carry a
P300,000 reward each .

Two more drug personalities on the list, Lin Tsung Huan and Randy Chua
Ngo, have been previously arrested by the authorities.

Cases of violation of Republic Act 9165 have been filed against the
suspects before various courts.

The Dangerous Drugs Board and the Philippine Drug Enforcement agency urged
the public to call or text 117 PNP AIDSOTF hotline 722-1918 in case they
have information on the suspects' whereabouts.

A year after AIDSOTF was activated, at least 15 shabu laboratories and
seven shabu warehouses have been dismantled by the group. At least P22
billion worth of shabu and ephedrine were also taken off the streets.

Several members of transnational drug groups behind the operations of shabu
laboratories and warehouses were arrested and put behind bars.

The drug menace has grown to an alarming proportion and has now developed
into a serious national security threat.

According to the latest Pulse Asia survey, drug trafficking is among the
top concerns of most Filipinos who wanted President Macapagal-Arroyo to
address the problem more decisively.

The President, in her State of the Nation Address, cited the gains of her
administration in the fight against illegal drugs with the record-breaking
seizures of drugs and chemicals worth billions of pesos and arrests of
big-time drug traffickers and operators and the shutting down of various
clandestine laboratories.
