JAIL OFFICIALS INVESTIGATE SUSPECTED DRUG BUST
Lucas County jail officials are investigating how an inmate got his
hands on a small amount of suspected marijuana after he was caught
recently with the suspected contraband.
The 24-year-old inmate received 10 days' cell isolation from the
disciplinary board for having the alleged contraband. The Point Place
man has not been charged criminally, pending results of tests on the
suspected contraband.
A corrections officer July 26 noticed the inmate fumbling with his
clothing. The officer searched him and found the contraband, reports
indicate.
The inmate has been in the jail since March on three drug offenses,
resisting arrest, and menacing.
