BUSTS KEEP MARKET FOR GRASS SO GREEN

I'm writing about "Three arrested in marijuana bust" (news, July 22):
I'm sure that many marijuana growers and sellers want to thank the
Providence police for this bust, and other busts like it. Without
marijuana busts, marijuana would be worth what other easy-to-grow
weeds are worth -- very little.

Thanks to the Drug Enforcement Administration and other "drug
warriors," the easy-to-grow weed is worth more than pure gold -- and
completely tax-free. The marijuana users or sellers arrested will soon
be replaced; they always are.
