PROBE OF DEATH LEADS TO DRUG CACHE

Home Of Men Who Found Body Searched

An investigation into the possible drug overdose of a 19-year-old East High
School graduate at a downtown apartment led police to a cache of drugs at a
south side residence.

Aaron Cizewski-Robinson died Friday. In an obituary published Wednesday,
his family said the cause of death was an apparent overdose.

According to a search warrant report filed Wednesday in Dane County Circuit
Court, Cizewski-Robinsons death at his Dayton Street apartment was
discovered Friday by two men who knew him. One of the men told Detective
Dave Gouran that they were checking on Cizewski-Robinsons welfare when they
forced the door open and found him dead.

Then, to clean up his death, they put three or four plastic sandwich bags
containing pills, two large Ziploc bags of marijuana and a small scale into
a black backpack and a small trash can, then took the items to their South
Park Street residence, the warrant report states.

Police executed a search warrant at the Park Street address this week and
seized more than seven pounds of processed marijuana, several marijuana
plants, hashish, more than four pounds of psylocibin mushrooms, numerous
prescription drugs, including Clonazepam, Declinax and Methadone,
paraphernalia and more than $27,000 in cash.

The Capital Times is not naming the men who live at the apartment because
they had not been arrested.

Police spokesman Larry Kamholz said Cizewski-Robinsons death is classified
as a death investigation. But he said, in general, if investigators can
establish a source of drugs that cause an overdose death, a death
investigation could be upgraded to a reckless homicide case.

Kamholz said it had not been established that the cause of death was an
overdose, though Cizewski-Robinsons obituary, printed in Wednesdays
editions of The Capital Times, stated that a drug overdose is the apparent
cause of death.

He said the results of toxicology tests could be a key factor in how
authorities handle the case.

If its an overdose, theyre going to wait for toxicology, which could take a
couple weeks, he said.

The Dane County Coroners Office said no information about the case could be
released until the toxicology tests are completed.

Cizewski-Robinson was a 2003 East High School graduate who ran cross
country for three years, according to his obituary. An avid soccer player,
he played the sport from pre-school through eighth grade. The obituary
called him a dedicated member of the Blue Marlins team.

He had planned to attend Madison Area Technical College in the fall.
