WHERE'S SHERIFF BART WHEN THE BLAZING SADDLES NEED HIM

And I thought this national Democrat vs. Republican presidential circus was
a waste of valuable time and money. Now we've got this Republican vs.
Republican nonsense going on right here in the county.

Honestly, if both county sheriff candidates would stop acting like a couple
of small-town crackers, maybe there'd be some faith in the office.

Mike Phibbs: If you don't have the common hair to put whatever it is you're
hiding out on the carpet, you don't deserve to run. As for the other guy,
John Minor, his botched, Gestapo-style drug raid smells just like the
current president's attempts to polarize the populace by crying wolf every
few months and raising the terrorist threat level to try and raise his
approval rating a point or two.

The person we really need right now, the guy who got everything done in the
face of major adversity, the one person who turned an entire town, an
entire county around, would be Sheriff "Bart" from the movie "Blazing Saddles."
