Dear Editor:

Re: Drug test clears teens, June 23 edition.

As parents in the community of David Leeder Middle School, we applaud
school staff and board officials in their efforts to keep the school
drug-free and to set a moral tone that says that any type of behaviour
that goes against this tone will not be tolerated.

It's a shame that the parents of these teens are looking for other
outlets to which to shift the blame instead of teaching their children
to take responsibility for their own actions, however direct or
indirect they were.

Thank you to all those involved who are working to protect the
learning environment at David Leeder for the future of all of our children.
