WE NEED TO DEAL WITH REAL PROBLEMS

Brian Lacroix, you have made your point about coffee and sugar being
an addiction (Sooke News Mirror, July 21). My point - show me the
statistics.

Rehab centre for coffee drinkers. Coffee leads to some strong (other
than more coffee, less water)? Families torn apart (because of coffee)
Makers of Maxwell House (known drug dealers)?

I trust coffee drinkers. I don't trust drug addicts.

It sounds like we agree on a safe healthy environment for our youth.
Why don't we start putting our heard-earned tax dollars to better use.

For example, stop filling our jails with pedophiles. We spend thousand
upon thousands of dollars housing and trying to rehabilitate them. I
don't believe in a cure (if a dog draws blood, you put it down).

They should be castrated and branded on the forehead, so our children
know what to look for. Put these dollars toward more police. Let's get
more drunk drivers off the road, with more than a slap on the wrist.
Let's crack down on drug dealers, who pollute our children's bodies
and mind.

Wouldn't you agree that this would have much more affect on our
youths' safe and healthy environment?
