POLICE BUST POT GROWING OPERATIONS
While acting to protect the welfare of several children, police busted
two large marijuana grow operations in Campbell River and Courtenay.
On July 29, Campbell River RCMP seized about 350 marijuana plants from
a Campbell River residence and Courtenay RCMP seized about 300 plants
from a Courtenay residence. Police were acting on a report that the
welfare of several children between the ages of 10-16 might have been
in question when they discovered the grow operations.
