NO ONE CARED

Re: "Inspectors needed now" (July 27). I am trying to think of when
it will be acceptable to allow a government inspector into my home.

No one cared when I was begging for a wiring inspection and the
installation of fire alarms and extinguishers. No one cared when I
was preyed on by thieves and couldn't afford to upgrade my security.
No one cared when my insurance company dumped me, leaving me without
insurance. No one cared when Health Canada left me without a licence
for 10 weeks while "processing" my application.

Oh ya, now I remember when I will be letting a government inspector
into my home: Over my dead body.
