AMERICAN YIELDS 'GRASS'

AN American tourist was caught in possession of dried marijuana leaves
while boarding a plane bound for Aklan last week, the Philippine Drug
Enforcement Agency reported yesterday.

PDEA chair Undersecretary Anselmo Avenido identified the suspect as
Aurelio Castillo, 24, of Portland, Oregon, USA and temporarily
residing at Room 402, Arnest Tower, Los Banos, Laguna.

Avenido said Castillo yielded 4.43 grams of marijuana when he was
nabbed at the security check area of the Centennial Terminal 2 in Pasay City.

Reports showed that Castillo was about to board a Philippine Airlines
plane bound for Kalibo, Aklan last Friday when arrested.

Charges of illegal possession of dangerous drugs will be filed against
the suspect.
