PUBLIC OUTRAGE SHOULD BE REACTION TO SHOOTING
I was most disturbed to read the Aug. 8 article concerning the Oshkosh
Police Department handling of the shooting of Officer Nate Gallagher,
and even more disturbed by Stewart Rieckman's accompanying piece
criticizing department actions.
I am shocked at the public outrage over this investigation. Shouldn't
we be more concerned about the commission of these crimes than the
manner in which the police department conducted its
investigation?
We should all be outraged that an officer of the law was shot and that
the shooter is still at large. We should also be outraged that felony
marijuana production was taking place in that neighborhood.
