MARIJUANA HATS OUT OF PLACE
While enjoying Fun Fest I was alarmed to see an unusual number of
teens and even some adults wearing tall green and white hats with
large marijuana leaves printed on them. I found it very inappropriate
for a family oriented celebration. I realize Fun Fest was not
sponsoring the sales of these hats, but they were very accessible at
the Taste of the Tri-Cities.
When I was younger, the glow stick entrepreneur could not sell his
wares near the Taste, and also the Beach Hut owner was not allowed to
park his small stand near Fun Fest and sell snow cones. Maybe Fun Fest
should keep a tighter vigilance over what is sold there. The marijuana
hats were totally inappropriate.
