COMMISSIONERS APPROVE REQUEST FOR DRUG DOG
The Woods County Sheriff's Department plans to purchase a drug dog to be
used in the continuing fight against illegal drugs in the county.
Funds for the purchase of a dog will come from the Sheriff's Service Fee
account. However, for liability purposes, the Woods County Commissioners
were asked to approve putting the dog on the county's insurance policy.
County Clerk Pam Small explained that the dog will be covered in the same
way as the sheriff's vehicles. It will not result in any increase in
insurance premiums. The commissioners approved the request.
A bid submitted by Nan Wheatley for Lot 6 in Avard was approved. No other
bids were received on this lot.
The commissioners approved a resolution transferring a weed sprayer from
District 1 to District 3.
A transfer of $2,000 from the E-911 Personal Services account to M&O was
approved. The amount had previously been transferred to capital outlay but
needed to be replaced in M&O to pay bills.
A bid by Egner Construction for remodeling the jail for an E-911 Center was
tabled until next week's meeting. Jerry Egner submitted his bid in person
which totaled $81,281.00.
The bid included amortization through Community National Bank at a 4.78%
interest rate with monthly payments of $856.13. The bid contained a
completion date of six months from the signing of the contract.

child, rose to $25.06 each.
