COP, 3 OTHERS HELD FOR DRUGS
Cop, 3 Others Arrested in Anti-Drug Operation
CITY of San Fernando ' Police on Wednesday arrested a policeman and
three other suspected drug users during an anti-drug operation in
Barangay San Nicolas here.
Senior Supt. Rodolfo Mendoza, Pampanga police director, said SPO2
William Fulinara, 52, along with two other suspects were while
sniffing shabu inside a house.
Mendoza said operatives from the police intelligence division were
conducting a buy-bust in the area when his men chanced upon Fulinara
and his companions identified as Helen Mutia y Relox, 40, and Jesus
Miranda 45.
Also arrested was Eduardo Salvador, 39, married, of Barangay
Cansinala, Apalit, Pampanga.
Mendoza said Salvador was apprehended after selling a sachet of shabu
to a police informant for P500.
Seized from the suspect were several drug paraphernalia and plastic
sachets containing drugs. Charges of possession of illegal drugs were
filed in court against the suspects.
Fulinara, Mutia and Miranda are now detained at the district jail here
while Salvador was turned over to the Pampanga Provincial Jail.
Confiscated from Fulinara were one Smith and Wesson .38 caliber pistol
with six live ammunition and a photo copy of its memorandum receipt
issued by the Regional Mobile Group (RMG) of the National Capital
Region Police Office dated July 16, 2004.
Supt. Nicanor S. Targa, city police chief, said they are now
intensifying campaign against illegal drugs in line with the city
government's drive to rid the city of the drug menace.
According to Targa, he was directed by Mayor Oscar Rodriguez to wage
an allout drive against all prohibited drugs and arrest big-time drug
personalities in the city.
