PNP: DRUGS SELL LIKE 'HOTCAKES' DURING, AFTER SCHOOL EXAMS
Illegal drugs sell like hot cakes during and after school examinations
in Dumaguete City, Philippine National Police reports said.
Dumaguete PNP head Constanino Barot said intelligence reports received
by his office indicated such trend but pointed out that the public is
now very cooperative in the drive against illegal drugs, that enabled
his operatives to arrest Jerry and Joseph Amigo, two of the "big
fishes" in the local drug trade.
The Amigo brothers were nabbed Saturday.
Barot also said they are monitoring the expected arrival of more
illegal drugs from the neighboring provinces of Cebu or Negros
Occidental to be delivered next week, during the celebration of
Silliman University's 103rd Founders Day, a major crowd gatherer in
August.*JG
