RE-LEGALIZE MARIJUANA AND COLLECT THE TAX REVENUES
Re: "Pot profits could be the biggest stimulant to B.C.'s booming
economy," letter to the editor, Friday, July 20.
I'm writing about T. Macrae's thoughtful letter.
If marijuana were re-legalized, the Canadian and U. S. governments
could collect billions of dollars in taxes instead of throwing
billions of dollars down the drain in our futile attempt to nullify
the law of supply and demand.
It seems to me that non-marijuana users would be in favour of taxing marijuana.
Around these parts, taxing someone else's vice is very popular.
