NO INNOCENTS IN THE USE OF DRUGS, JUST VICTIMS
Editor, The Record:
I have to thank both Alan and Ronnie for their two respective letters
in opposition to my ridicule of Alan's earlier nonsense that everyone
should just snort up, inhale, shoot-up, and/or swallow what ever they
want to.I have to thank them, especially Ronnie, for providing me with
much mirth at their snit fits.
And here I thought drug use makes people mellow.Well isn't that a kick
in your drug paraphernalia.
Thank you for letting me know by the tone of your two respective
letters that I have managed to get under your skin quicker than a
needle or up your nose faster than a quick snort.
Alan tries to divert attention by pointing fingers at other people's
activities like it somehow makes drug use okay by comparison.
You're going to have to do better than that, Alan, because the focus
of your original letter was on drug use so stick to that topic and can
the use of red herrings.
To be fair, the argument Alan uses by pointing fingers is nothing new
as it has been tried before. But those other activities are not what
you wanted people to support you on.So really your response letter
carries about as much weight or relevance with me as the blue smoke
you apparently like to blow from time to time during your research
into the joys of unrestricted drug use.
Alan seems to want to play the role of innocent but there are no
innocents in the use of drugs, just victims.
And on that point, neither Alan nor Ronnie "get it" as apparently I
will never "get it" according the imported opinions from Portland.
Mind you, I have to chuckle to think that apparently my letter to our
local paper got Alan's knickers in such a knot that I am assuming he
had to forward it to another supporter. Oh well, at least he had to go
to another country to find one.
But enough about Alan as I think Ronnie was perhaps surprised at my
"strong words" but he really shouldn't have been.
After all, I don't sit on the fence when it comes to either dealers or
addicts. And I surely am not looking for support from those that Allan
and Ronnie champion.
If I have any support coming my way I want it to be from people who
are fed up with the drug trade.I hope I have some support from people
who are calling for tougher laws and fewer slaps on the wrist from our
unelected legal beagles.
And I would hope that if I can speak out about drugs then I somehow
let others know it is okay to do the same and not let themselves be
intimated by those who would drag society down.
There was always a sub-culture here in Mission but now it has become
too obvious, too cocky, and too invasive. It needs to be faced up to
and eliminated, not praised by the likes of Alan or Ronnie.
Ronnie said my words were dangerous, well, I hope he is right and that
I pose a real danger to what he espouses. He also says I will be "defeated."
Possibly, as I only have my words to fight with while the addicts and
dealers have bleeding hearts, wimp noodle judges afraid to offend the
guilty with tougher sentences, constitutional idiots masquerading as
experts, and civil liberties people working from Ivory Towers to look
out for their interests.
