MAN KILLED IN KESWICK POT HOUSE

Police Investigators Remain Tight-Lipped On Cause Of Death

Homicide investigators scoured the scene of a "suspicious death" in a
marijuana grow house in Keswick yesterday.

Investigators would not confirm the cause of a man's death at a Ley
Boulevard home near The Queensway and Morton Avenue.

However, neighbour Bradley Martins, 17, said he heard a loud argument
and what sounded like gunshots coming from the house just after 2 a.m.
yesterday.

"I was watching TV with my girlfriend and we heard loud yelling, like
an argument. We put the TV on mute to listen to it. I heard shouting,
then there was a loud gunshot. I heard a woman screaming and a guy was
yelling back and then another shot," he said. "I didn't know if I was
tired and just hearing things or what, but it sounded like somebody
got shot."

Neighbour Cathy Gordon also said she heard what sounded like gunshots
and people running down the street just after 2 a.m.

New to the area, she had introduced herself to the five Asian residents,
three men and two women, who appeared to be living at the home.

Mr. Martins said he had seen very little of the residents since they
moved in less than one year ago.

However, he had heard loud arguments from the home previously.

York Regional Police Inspector Tony Cusimano, who said police were
called in by a neighbour around 8 a.m., would not confirm if there
were gunshot wounds on the man's body.

"We're still in the beginning of this investigation. We may be here
two or three days," he said. "Homicide investigators are on the scene.
For now, all I can say is we attended the residence and found the body
of an adult male deceased inside."

The identity of the man has not yet been released.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the Ley Boulevard
area late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning to contact them at
1-866-287-5025 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
