POT SENTENCE DEMONSTRATES AN UNJUST LAW
Re: Emery sentenced, Aug. 20
It is said by some that the best possible way to get rid of an unjust
law is to enforce it. Perhaps Judge Albert Lavoie's sentence of 90
days for Marc Emery's "passing a joint" will serve the purpose of
demonstrating that in this new century Canadians are still being
persecuted for growing and consuming vegetables.
Methinks His Honour went too far with this sentence.
