FORGET THE SMOKING BAN, HOW ABOUTA PETITION TO LEGALIZE MARIJUANA
I believe in the rights of small business owners and I am a greater
supporter of the democratic process. I voted against the smoking ban
even though I'm the worst kind of nonsmoker - an ex-smoker.
The fact of the matter is that the ban was approved 2-1 by the voters.
I'm pretty sure that not everyone who was eligible to vote got off the
couch to participate in this decision.
Those who benefit from the freedoms of this society must also accept
the responsibilities.
If there were to be an exception to the smoking ban, then the voters
would have stood up and said so already. You can't cry foul afterwards.
Now, if you really want to promote change, I suggest getting a
petition to legalize marijuana.
I'll bet the laziest of potential voters would be willing to get off
their butts, register and actively participate in the democratic process.
