MURDER VICTIM ID TO BE RELEASED
York Regional Police were expected to release the identity of a murder
victim found in a Keswick marijuana grow house this week.
Members of the 21-year-old man's family have been contacted in
Vancouver and were flying in to confirm the identity.
Meanwhile, there were no further developments in the Aug. 18
murder.
About $450,000 worth of marijuana was found in a Ley Boulevard home in
a quiet residential neighbourhood. Witnesses reported hearing screams
and gunshots in the early morning hours.
The man's body was found inside.
The grow house is the third busted by drug squad cops this summer in
Georgina.
In Operation Baby Bud, raids on homes in Sutton and Keswick uncovered
large marijauna growing operations, with $575,000 worth of plants
found in a Wood River Acres house and $200,000 in plants found in a
Natanya Boulevard house.
