WHY MARIJUANA HAS REMAINED ILLEGAL
Has Everyone forgotten that the reason marijuana is illegal in Canada
is quite straightforward? In The Black Candle, Emily Murphy's 1922
report for the government on marijuana, as requested by Prime Minister
MacKenzie King, she states, " ... while in this condition (on pot)
they become raving maniacs and are liable to kill or indulge in any
form of violence to other persons, using the most savage methods
without any sense of moral responsibility." This is why marijuana has
remained illegal since Jan. 31, 1923.
