POT WORKERS BUSTED IN MISSION

For the second time in less than six months, Mission RCMP have busted a
marijuana grow operation, only to find a large number of people working
inside the building.

In early March, Mission RCMP arrested 49 people at a Silverdale property
where 48 workers were in the middle of harvesting more than 3,000 marijuana
plants.

Last Friday, Mission RCMP encountered a "similar" situation when the
executed search warrants at two neighbouring rural properties in northern
Mission.

"A total of 23 individuals were located at the two residences," said Staff
Sgt. Jack Robinson. "The majority of the individuals located were initially
detained for a short period of time and then released. A handful were taken
into custody and later released."

Mission RCMP are continuing to investigate. No charges have been laid in
this latest incident, and Robinson also believes charges haven't been laid
in the March 5 bust.
