STORE SELLING POT IS GOOD FOR BUSINESS
Re: Police, city ignored store selling pot, Sept. 2
Const. Sarah Bloor says Vancouver police hadn't acted against Da Kine
because of other priorities and a lack of resources. She notes no one had
complained about the store selling marijuana.
I commend the Vancouver police department. It's about time resources were
used for serious crimes and enforcement.
There have been no accidents due to cannabis or Da Kine's operation, no
vandalism, no increase in drug use, no more drug peddlers. You won't come
across any hard drugs around there.
Da Kine also served the healthiest, safest marijuana available, not
chemical-infested shwag (like the government issued medicinal cannabis).
Another benefit was increased business for the Commercial Drive area.
Believe me, restaurants are grateful for Da Kine.
Vancouver gets thousands of tourists from around the world, and not only do
they enjoy the freedom we celebrate here, but they also experience
Vancouver's varied culture and world-renowned beauty. Pot tourism is alive
and well in Vancouver.
So I extend my thanks to Mayor Larry Campbell, city councillors such as Jim
Green, an outstanding representative, and the Vancouver police for being
true to their real duties, instead of cracking down on successful,
taxpaying, discreet, safe and popular marijuana establishments.
