ALLOW MARIJUANA VOTE INITIATIVE; END HYSTERIA
Why are election officials in Nevada making it so difficult for the
people to have their voices heard? Especially concerning the marijuana
initiative, Dean Heller, Larry Lomax and others have made it an uphill
battle to decide on this issue. When 60,000-plus constituents sign a
petition on such a controversial issue, regardless of validity rate,
don't you think it is fair to let the people decide one way or the
other?
Our government surely won't do it for us as any official (conservative
or liberal) up for election sees it as political suicide to take a
stand and make this an issue to be debated in the public eye. It won't
be discussed in the Legislature for the same reason.
In this election year, there will be an abnormally large turnout,
especially considering the thousands of newly registered Nevadans.
Let's end the cannabis hysteria and decide once and for all on this
issue.
