REDUCE BREAK-INS WITH MORE DRUG REHABILITATION
Gord Henderson wrote a column about the recent rise in break-ins in
Windsor. I don't blame the people in Southlawn area for wanting to
protect their property. They can afford it. Some of us can't.
He also says that these break-ins are done mostly by frantic drug
addicts. Nothing could be more true. I have experienced it personally.
Maybe if the Windsor police force did more to clean up the streets and
get these people off drugs it would help lower these numbers. Instead,
they arrest them every couple weeks and turn them loose the next day.
I understand that the county jail is not a rehab centre, but until we
get them off the streets, the crime numbers will not go down.
