CHANGE THE LAW OR SHUT DOWN POT SELLERS
Re: Business thriving at pot cafe just days after police raid, Sept. 13
It is a criminal offence to smoke, deal or possess marijuana.
Regardless of which side of the fence one is on -- wanting to legalize
it or to maintain the status quo -- marijuana is still illegal. Until
that changes, Da Kine cafe should not be selling it.
This shop is located one block from an elementary and high school. I
wonder how long it would have stayed in business in Kerrisdale.
Either work to change the law, or create a "safe" zone, like with the
safe injection site. The surrounding community would have to approve
before this could be done.
As long as Da Kine cafe is allowed to operate, what do I tell my kids
about obeying the law?
