SCHOOLS ALREADY UP ON CRYSTAL METH ISSUE
The school board was a little slighted that the mayor thought they
weren't doing anything in schools about crystal meth use.
In a recent letter to Premier Gordon Campbell, Mayor Walter Gray said
the city was urging the school district to "implement a program to
educate students and the public on the harmful affects of this drug."
The trouble is, the school district already has several programs in
place .
Director of student services Peter Molloy recited a list of ways the
schools are addressing crystal meth use.
They include having an RCMP officer, who is an expert on drugs, come
into schools as well as another expert from California.
