NO NEED TO SMOKE MARIJUANA FOR MEDICINE

Anyone who looks with an open mind at the issue of medical marijuana
has to agree that marijuana is a plant having significant medical
usefulness. It is so useful, in fact, that the medically interesting
compounds have been carefully identified and synthesized and are in
the standard pharmacopeia. The compound is manufactured by Roxane
Laboratories, and is marketed in a well-researched and controlled
dosage under the trade-name "Marinol." There is no need for anyone who
requires the benefit of medical marijuana to roll up their medicine in
a cigarette and smoke it.

Marijuana itself contains many dubious compounds that are of no use
medically, and marijuana smoke, like all smoke, is known to be harmful.
