METHAMPHETAMINE FRENZY FUELLED BY ILLEGAL DRUGS
Dear editor,
Re: Meth death: it didn't get its name by being cuddly and cute, Aug. 7
Let's assume for the moment that those like you who are demonizing meth are
not lying about it as is done with respect to other illegal drugs.
If users were free to purchase clean, cheap, quality-tested marijuana,
cocaine, heroin etc. at the corner store, why would anyone bother with such
an awful drug as meth?
In any event, who's to say most of the harm done by meth is caused by
adulterants in the drug and that when the drug is produced legally by
knowledgeable and reliable people, it will be much less harmful?
The best way to reduce the harm and heartbreak of illegal drugs is to
legalize them.
