POT 'ALARM' CAUSES A BUZZ
"Relaxed pot laws alarm U.S." (The Journal, Sept.18) explains the
border closure to live Canadian cattle.
The relaxing of our drug laws opens the door to criminal
elements.
The U.S. has been trying for the past 10 or 15 years to get Canada to
order easily acquired ingredients for making crystal meth off our drug
store shelves.
Our government had better start looking in the mirror for the person
or persons to blame for the predicament our country is in.
The days of kid-glove punishment also need to come to an end and some
teeth put in our judicial system.
Our police forces work their butts off to enforce the laws that we do
have and "do-gooders" keep crying that the punishments have to be
lessened. We're not advocating a police state, but we have to do
something to clean up the riff-raff that is spoiling our country.
