I SEE NO HARM IN RANDOM DRUG TESTS FOR STUDENTS
The letter from Lars Larsen of Stafford ["Random drug tests would usurp
constitutional rights," Sept. 21] was well-written and thought-provoking.
And while I respect his opinion, here is mine:
Random drug-screening has been adopted in many businesses as well as in the
U.S. military, and it is an effective tool in the detection of illegal drug
use. What about the student who refuses to be drug-screened? If he has
nothing to hide, why refuse?
