ERITREANS SEEK TO CASH IN ON REGIONAL QAT TRADE
ABYAN - Eritrean traders have purchased 10,000 qat bushes in Yafai, Abyan,
for transplant to Eritrea and future export to neighboring Djibouti, the
website of 26 September reported yesterday.
"The Eritrean traders bought the shrubs from a Yemeni trader to grow them
in a region 50 kilometers to the north of the Eritrean capital, Asmara,"
local sources told the paper.
